Play Bim Bom Solitaire Online — Australian Patience on Two Decks

Bim Bom takes the Australian move to two decks. Eight columns of five are dealt face up; any face-up card may be moved with everything above it — Yukon's move — and columns build down in suit. Any card may fill a space. A stock of sixty-four turns one card at a time to a waste, with no redeal. Eight foundations build up from the ace, two per suit; bank all 104 to win.

Setup

Shuffle two decks together. Deal eight columns of five cards, all face up. The remaining sixty-four cards form the stock, face down; the waste and the eight foundations start empty.

Rules

Strategy

Sixty-four cards in a one-pass stock is the whole difficulty: most of both decks arrives one card at a time, and each card you cannot place buries the ones beneath it. The open spaces and the twins are the answer.

Where It Sits in the Yukon Family

Bim Bom is a PySolFC original: Raw Prawn's rules — the Australian move, the suit build, open spaces, a one-pass stock — on two decks and eight columns dealt five deep. Outback Patience is its neighbour with the king rule kept and seven rows dealt.

About This Version

Bim Bom runs in your browser — free, no download, no sign-up. Install it as an app on your phone or computer and it works offline. You get unlimited undo, a hint button that names a legal move, statistics that track your wins and times, and seeded deals: every game has a seed you can replay, so a board you enjoyed (or lost) can be played again exactly.

Frequently asked questions

How is Bim Bom different from Raw Prawn?

Two decks instead of one, eight columns instead of seven, five cards dealt to each instead of four, and eight foundations. The move, the suit build, the open spaces and the one-pass stock are the same.

How does the stock work?

Click it to turn one card to the waste. The waste’s top card may be played to a column or a foundation. There is no redeal.

Can I move cards that are not in sequence?

Yes. Any face-up card travels with every card above it, packed or not; the bottom card of the group must land on its suit host.

Why are there eight foundations?

Two decks mean two aces of each suit. Each suit builds on two foundations, and either accepts the next card of that suit.

Is Bim Bom hard?

Harder than Raw Prawn. Sixty-four cards come through the stock one at a time with no second pass, so spaces and the twins have to do the work.
