Brunswick is Lexington Harp dealt entirely face up. Eight columns hold a staircase of one to eight cards and every one of the thirty-six is visible from the first click; the other sixty-eight wait in a stock that deals one card face up to every column on each click, with no waste and no redeal. Any face-up card — which is every card on the table — may be moved with everything on top of it. The tableau builds down in alternating colours and an empty column takes any card until the next deal fills it. With nothing hidden, the only unknown is the order the stock will arrive in.
Plan the whole board before the first deal. Thirty-six known cards and the Yukon move rule make the opening a puzzle you can solve rather than a position you have to probe. Work out which columns can be emptied, which aces and twos can be banked, and which tails need to move, and do all of it before the stock buries anything.
Deal as late as you can. Each click drops eight cards on top of everything, in an order you cannot see. The more of the board you have sorted before a deal, the less damage it does.
Spend spaces, do not save them. Any card fills an empty column, and the next deal will fill it anyway. Open one, move the tail that needs moving, and only then deal.
Use the twins. Two decks give every red seven four black eights. When one host is buried under a long tail, its twin is often sitting free.
After the ninth deal, it is Yukon. Everything is on the table and the rest is pure sequencing — the same reasoning as Double Yukon, with spaces that take any card.
Yukon's contribution to patience is a single rule: any face-up card may be moved with everything on top of it. Brunswick belongs to the small line that adds a row-dealing stock — Queenie, Rushdike, Lexington Harp — and within that line it is the open version: Lexington Harp with the staircase turned face up, exactly as Queenie is Rushdike turned face up. The two games play the same rules on the same board; what differs is how much you know when you start.
