Play Super Flower Garden Solitaire Online — La Belle Lucie, Unlocked

Super Flower Garden takes La Belle Lucie's board — eighteen small fans holding the whole pack, no stock, no reserve — and changes exactly one word. The tableau builds down on ANY suit instead of only its own. In the parent game a card has precisely one legal host anywhere on the table; here it has up to four. That single change turns the fan family's hardest classic into one an ordinary player can expect to win.

Strategy

Generosity is the trap. Because almost everything is placeable, it is easy to spend a dozen moves tidying the board and bank nothing. The foundations are still suit-only, so a comfortable mixed stack can bury exactly the club you needed. Ask of every build: does this bring a card closer to a foundation, or does it just look neater?

Build onto the fans you intend to keep. Every card you add is a card that must later come off one at a time, and it covers whatever was underneath. Concentrate your building in two or three fans rather than spreading it, so the rest of the board stays shallow and readable.

Empty a fan only when it has stopped helping. An emptied fan is gone for good — this family gives you no free space in return. The right ones to clear are the fans whose exposed card serves no suit you are working on.

Spend the first redeal while it can still do work. Players hoard reshuffles and then use one on a board with ten cards left, where the shuffle barely rearranges anything. A redeal is worth most while there are still enough cards for it to matter.

Where It Sits in the Fan Family

The fan family is defined by what it withholds: no stock, no reserve, no free cell, no run move, one card per fan, and an emptied fan gone for good. That makes it the purest "which one do I open next" puzzle in patience — and the family where one rule change is felt hardest. La Belle Lucie sets every dial to hard. Trefoil turns the gentlest one, starting the aces for you. Super Flower Garden turns the biggest, dropping the suit requirement from the tableau. Shamrocks goes the other way entirely, capping every fan at three cards and removing the redeals. Despite the name, this game has no relationship to Flower Garden, which is a different patience built around a sixteen-card reserve.

About This Version

Super Flower Garden runs in your browser — free, no download, no sign-up. Install it as an app on your phone or computer and it works offline. You get unlimited undo (the redeal can be taken back too), a hint button that names a legal move, statistics that track your wins and times, and seeded deals: every game has a seed you can replay, so a board you enjoyed (or lost) can be played again exactly.
