Why print Sudoku

Solving on paper has a few advantages over solving on a device:

How to print from TrySolitaire

The print panel lives inside the Sudoku game. Here is the whole flow:

  1. Open Sudoku. Go to Sudoku on TrySolitaire.
  2. Open the print panel. Click the Print button in the game toolbar, or use the button above.
  3. Choose your options. Set the puzzle source, difficulty, number of puzzles per page, grid size, and where the solutions go.
  4. Preview. Check the layout before you commit any paper.
  5. Print or save. Use your browser's print dialog to send the sheet to a printer or save it as a PDF.

Difficulty levels

Each level changes how many numbers you start with and which techniques you need.

Easy

Around 30–35 given numbers. Most cells fall to scanning and single candidates, so easy sheets suit beginners, children, and relaxed solving. See easy printable Sudoku for a set aimed at newcomers.

Hard

Around 24–28 given numbers. These ask for techniques like naked pairs, X-Wing, and colouring. A good step up once easy puzzles feel routine.

X-treme

Around 21–25 given numbers. Expect forcing chains and almost-locked sets. Built for experienced solvers who want a long, careful session.

Layout and size options

One puzzle per page gives a large, readable grid — good for timed challenges or anyone who prefers bigger numbers. Two puzzles per page saves paper and works well for puzzle books and classroom worksheets.

You can also choose a medium grid for everyday printing or a large grid for maximum readability, which helps for seniors or anyone who finds small numbers hard to read.

Where the solutions go

You decide how answer keys are handled. Print no solutions for a clean challenge, put the solution on the same page for quick self-checking, or print solutions on separate pages so you do not spoil the puzzle by accident.
